Vacation was GREAT! We learned that Hunter is not one to be away from home! He kept asking when we were going home – he surely likes his home!! LOL. We made great time (with a few set backs) arriving there on Saturday afternoon. After we got settled in – Hunter had asked if he could go swimming – so we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon down at the heated pool (Josh said that it felt more like a bath to him – BUT Hunter enjoyed it!)
Saturday evening / Sunday morning ~ Josh and I were trying to figure out what we were gonna do all day Sunday – since we knew that Hunter would not be able
to just sit around ALL day – so we thought that we would go to the Zoo that is attached to Hershey Park and since we are zoo members at Toledo – it was free for us. Let’s just say that I would have been very upset if we would have paid to go through the zoo – it only had animals that were in the North America and took us a whole 45 minutes to go through it – and that was with stopping to feed the ducks for a while!

After that we made a quick decision and headed to Dutch World which is owned by Hershey Park and geared around kids! It was a last minute decision that turned out for the best!. Hunter had a GREAT time – he started out by feeding the ducks and then walked across the ‘water bridge’ and then we rode almost all the rides!
He LOVED the train that went around the park – we had to ride that a couple times! Josh talked him into riding the slide – when they first got up to the top – he didn’t want to go down – but then Josh got him on there and then we had to keep trying to talk him into other stuff to go on! (I’m sure that Josh didn’t want to keep going up the 40+ stairs to get to the top! LOL) We finished the day at the park by watching the Thomas show – which he thought was VERY cool!
Once we went back – we grilled out and then had some popcorn in bed! Needless to say – he was out within a couple minutes of finishing up his popcorn.
On Monday – we went to Gettysburg before going to the baseball game that evening. It was very interesting to go through the museum and see
all of the artifacts – VERY interesting! After the museum, Josh and I did the auto tour of driving through all of the battlefields – which was very interesting ~ and Hunter was asleep through all of it – but I’m sure that he wouldn’t have thought that it was AS interesting!
Monday evening we went to see the Lancaster Barnstormers – which was fun! ~ Except for the 4th inning running for 84 minutes – needless to say we left after that – because we had to get up early the next morning to go
to Thomas the Train! Hunter received a game ball from the Owner (it was very random) he walked down the aisle and handed the ball to Josh and said “He didn’t get this from any stranger” – it took almost an hour to figure out who the guy was!
On Tuesday – we spend the day at the Thomas the Train exhibit at Strasburg Railroad ~ it was GREAT! They had a lot of cool stuff – like this – it was a Thomas built out of Lego’s. We got our picture taken with Thomas and then rode on the other train to go through the Amish countryside

As said before – vacation was great – but I think that Hunter was happy to get home to sleep in his big boy bed as well to know that ‘his’ Peanut was okay! (I think she was just as happy to see him!)
