Happy Father's Day!

YEA - Happy Father's Day ~
Josh and I took Hunter to go and pick out Papaw's and Grandpa's presents ~ which he thought was VERY fun! He picked out shirts for both of them - and did a fine job! Presents were liked by both Papaw & Grandpa!
We went to Umma & Papaws and swam and had a bit of a cookout - Hunter was jumping into the pool and had a lot of fun! Aunt Meridith even came over - which he as pretty happy about (and needless to say - he got a couple fun summer things to play with from her!)
After that we went to Grandma & Grandpa's - where Hunter crashed out on the drive there - but woke up after we were there for a bit!
Overall - I think that Daddy had a good Father's day (even after Hunter told him earlier in the week that we had went shopping for his present and told him) - little turkey!!!

Daddy's All-Star Game

Tonight we went to Daddy's All-Star game that he was chosen to referee ~ Hunter was VERY excited to go to the game. Josh had to leave so much earlier from the house then what we wanted to go over to the game - and Hunter was very upset thinking that he wasn't going to the game. So - in effort to try and help smooth things over that day - we went to Frickers - where of course all the girls thought he was adorable in his outfit that he wanted to wear...
We met Grandma, Grandpa, Ariana and Jayden at the game! We only lasted sitting in the stands for the first half - after that - Hunter wanted to go and stand down by the fence and finish watching the game!
After the game - Hunter got to go out on the field and play FOOTBALL - we waited a while for Daddy to be all done showering and all of his officials stuff - and before they shut the lights off (they were waiting for us!) - Hunter got to play football with Daddy on the field! ADORABLE!!!

Truck Rodeo

Hunter was able to go with Mommy up to St. Johns, Michigan to the Distribution Center to see the Truck Rodeo with the McDonald's trucks! He was so excited! We had a bit of a time getting up there driving through the horrible storms that morning - but we were determined to make it! After the rodeo was all done - he even got to take a ride in a BIG TRUCK! He was so excited - but of course needed for Mom to go with him. Franky 'the driver' let him see how the back-up cameras work and well as beep the horn twice!
After all of that - we went into the distribution center where he got to pick through a million and one happy meal toys ~ I believe that he picked Spiderman toys to keep - and then he got a ball and bat outside under the tent!
Overall - I'm pretty sure he had a great time ~ the 2 1/2 hour drive home was peaceful as he fell asleep not long after leaving the Distribution Center!

Our "Mini-Vacation"...

Vacation was GREAT! We learned that Hunter is not one to be away from home! He kept asking when we were going home – he surely likes his home!! LOL. We made great time (with a few set backs) arriving there on Saturday afternoon. After we got settled in – Hunter had asked if he could go swimming – so we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon down at the heated pool (Josh said that it felt more like a bath to him – BUT Hunter enjoyed it!)
Saturday evening / Sunday morning ~ Josh and I were trying to figure out what we were gonna do all day Sunday – since we knew that Hunter would not be able to just sit around ALL day – so we thought that we would go to the Zoo that is attached to Hershey Park and since we are zoo members at Toledo – it was free for us. Let’s just say that I would have been very upset if we would have paid to go through the zoo – it only had animals that were in the North America and took us a whole 45 minutes to go through it – and that was with stopping to feed the ducks for a while!
After that we made a quick decision and headed to Dutch World which is owned by Hershey Park and geared around kids! It was a last minute decision that turned out for the best!. Hunter had a GREAT time – he started out by feeding the ducks and then walked across the ‘water bridge’ and then we rode almost all the rides! He LOVED the train that went around the park – we had to ride that a couple times! Josh talked him into riding the slide – when they first got up to the top – he didn’t want to go down – but then Josh got him on there and then we had to keep trying to talk him into other stuff to go on! (I’m sure that Josh didn’t want to keep going up the 40+ stairs to get to the top! LOL) We finished the day at the park by watching the Thomas show – which he thought was VERY cool! Once we went back – we grilled out and then had some popcorn in bed! Needless to say – he was out within a couple minutes of finishing up his popcorn.
On Monday – we went to Gettysburg before going to the baseball game that evening. It was very interesting to go through the museum and see all of the artifacts – VERY interesting! After the museum, Josh and I did the auto tour of driving through all of the battlefields – which was very interesting ~ and Hunter was asleep through all of it – but I’m sure that he wouldn’t have thought that it was AS interesting!
Monday evening we went to see the Lancaster Barnstormers – which was fun! ~ Except for the 4th inning running for 84 minutes – needless to say we left after that – because we had to get up early the next morning to go to Thomas the Train! Hunter received a game ball from the Owner (it was very random) he walked down the aisle and handed the ball to Josh and said “He didn’t get this from any stranger” – it took almost an hour to figure out who the guy was!
On Tuesday – we spend the day at the Thomas the Train exhibit at Strasburg Railroad ~ it was GREAT! They had a lot of cool stuff – like this – it was a Thomas built out of Lego’s. We got our picture taken with Thomas and then rode on the other train to go through the Amish countryside

As said before – vacation was great – but I think that Hunter was happy to get home to sleep in his big boy bed as well to know that ‘his’ Peanut was okay! (I think she was just as happy to see him!)

~ Just a cute story ~

Last night I was in the shower and Hunter was in our bedroom coloring and I had noticed that that we were out of soap in the shower. So – knowing that he was in the bedroom – I said “Hunter – will you go ask Daddy to get Mommy some soap?” with that said – I heard a “Be right back Mommy!” and he was off and running. He came RIGHT back and yelled “MOMMY – open up the shower” – when I did – he said “HERE” and he handed me the bottle of Dawn dish soap from the kitchen! He was SO proud that he was able to go and get the soap that I needed (even though I would have smelled citrus fresh) He stood there with the biggest smile! So I thought quickly and said “Can you go ask Daddy to get bar soap for Mommy?” Off he went running again and came back very quickly yelling “MOMMY – open up the shower” and handed me the bar of soap!
