Baby #2 update...

Last week we had our only ultrasound :( for our newest addition! Hunter was able to go with Mommy to try and 'see' the baby on the screen! He was SUCH a good boy and informed that Tech that he was having a Baby Sister and that her name was going to be "Baby Ava" (which that is NOT a name that is 'in the hat') Anyways... the Tech informed us that usually siblings have a pretty good idea of what the gender is and usually tend to be right - so we'll have to wait and see! Let's not forget to mention that the Tech gave Hunter 3 suckers for being SUCH a good boy!

I went to the doctors today for my routine 4 week checkup - which everything is right on track! At the appointment she went over the results from the ultrasound. She informed that the placenta is right in the front in my tummy - which helps explain why I'm not feeling a lot of movement ~ it's being absorbed by the placenta. This also explained why we had a hard time seeing a good profile picture of the baby at the ultrasound!

The doctor informed me that the baby is in the 54th percentile for growth/weight (FYI ~ 50th is 'average') I joked and said "yeap - that's what we have is big babies with big heads!" Which she insured me that the baby's head is in the 52nd percentile - BUT she said that this baby's legs are in the 89th percentile! OMG! that is ALL legs!!!!!!

Mother's Day @ the Mud Hens Game

After breakfast at our house with Umma, Papaw, Grandma & Grandpa for Mother's Day- we went to the Mud Hens game! We did not tell Hunter that we were going to a baseball game until Saturday evening - because we know what it can cause if we give to much notice to him!

He was very excited to go and especially since he wore his Baseball shirt and Daddy wore his too!! I think the fact that Uncle Jeremy got to go which was exciting to him as well.
He had a GREAT time and actually watched the entire game and really enjoyed it - he liked the fact that they got to hit the ball and got very excited when they made 'homeruns' (in the words of a 2 1/2 yr old)

Hunter even got to go into the Mud Hens store and pick something - so needless to say - he chose a bat and a baseball. At first he had picked out a navy blue bat - but Daddy saw the orange one and showed it to him, and he quickly decided the orange bat was the 'keeper'

Poor guy was SO tired and wore out that he crashed out on the way home and slept through the entire night - but did wake up as I was changing him into his jammies and was upset because he didn't have his baseball shirt on and needed to have his bat to go back to sleep!

If you want to check out more pixs from the game...

Last Day of Swim Class

So today was the last day for Hunter's swim class ~ we informed him that he will not have any more swim classes - but with summer coming up - we will be in lots of pools! So that made him happy. The instructor tried to get us to sign him up for the next level class - but that is where he is in the water by himself and we stand in the 'waiting' area behind the glass while the instructor teaches him - we both decided that he is not ready yet for it ( I don't know if it's more that Mom is just not ready for it - but we know that he is not to the point yet of neither of us being in the pool with him!) But decided that we will look at that class after summer and he has more time to just swim and have fun by himself in the pool!
I only took him into the water twice for the swim classes - all the other times were with Daddy. In the last one that I took him in - half way through the class - he informed me that he needed his Daddy - because he was more fun! So after that - needless to say - Daddy finished the classes up!
He did learn a great deal - he likes to show people the "reach & pull" of swimming - plus he practices blowing bubbles in the tub and always has to 'swim' ~
At least he got something out of the class!
